Caleb Hausmann

Caleb August Hausmann came into this world at 9:59 AM on December 27, 2012.  He chose his Aunt Abbey's birthday to enter the world.  Actually it was chosen for him, as Brooke was to be induced the morning of the 27th.  Caleb had other plans.  Brooke went into labor about 1:00 on the 26th.  By 8:30 that night, she was having great contractions, so off we all went to the hospital.  She labored through most of the night, then had him quite easily by 9:59 AM.  She came home the next day and we have been in new baby mode ever since.  Hudson is adjusting well and loves his baby brother.  He is back on a regular schedule and Caleb is also on his own nursing schedule and  is doing great. I feel so blessed to be here with them and celebrate this special child from God.  The pictures say it all:

I couldn't be anymore blessed!  Praise God!

What a way to begin the new year!  Happy new Year Everyone and welcome Baby Caleb!

Christmas 2012

We all spent Christmas in San Antonio with Brooke, Hudson, Travis, and baby Caleb ( still in Brooke's tummy). Traci, Pete and Chris were there to celebrate as well.  By lunch time Abbey, Justin, and Wyatt came over. We also enjoyed the opening of Les Miserable the movie on Christmas Evening.  By the 27th all of my babies were in town as Luci , Jeremy, and the kids came in for the birth of baby Caleb.  So here are the events in living color:

So much to be thankful for!  I will leave you with my favorite quote from Christmas from a Barbara Mandrell Song:

One night a year we believe in peace on earth
One night a year we praise our Saviour's birth
I wish every night the whole year through could be like Christmas Eve
When love's pure light is shining everywhere, one night a year

The Faces of Wyatt

We have so enjoyed being close to Abbey and Justin as we have been able to get lots of Wyatt time.  He is a beautiful baby and so good.  He just turned 1 month and we got to keep him by ourselves Thursday night so Abbey and Justin could go out.  He was perfect of course.  We got him a sling to sleep in and he loves it.  It is great for new borns in getting them in a comfortable sleeping position.  Here are some of my favorite pictures:

Such a beautiful baby!

Yes there is a Santa Clause.....

Here are the new pictures of my darlings with Santa......I also bought an Elf on the Shelf this year to read to the grand kids.  We have not thoroughly instituted it yet.  I am sure we will over the years to come.

Hudson's Gee Gee made him this Elf on the Shelf.  I thought it was so cute.

My yummy Wyatt starting to smile.

The Oklahoma crew that are Texas bound on January 7th!  Finley, Carter, and Riley- so very precious.
Happy 1st Christmas Baby Wyatt

Hudson - so funny and classic- he says Ho! Ho! Ho! and usually loves Santa

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished......
No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives and lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.    Francis Pharcellus Church

The Holiday Season

We have had so much fun and it is not even the 25th!  First off was the fabulous Google party.  They had it downtown at the Stephen F Austin. Kirk and I decided to stay there and make a weekend of it.  The food was fabulous and Kirk even danced quite a bit with me.  They had  a fabulous band, the Spazmatics.  Come to find out they are one of my counselor's at school favorite band.  I loved them too and think I will now be a "groupie" with her.  We then went down to west 6th ( where the older crowd hangs out apparently).  I even had a " pickle shot. "  We did manage to make it back to the hotel and had breakfast with Kelcie and Casey, our Google friends.  Oh and I did win a camera this year.  So all my pretty pictures are now coming from that camera.

Kirk and Lynn at the Google Party

We also had some parties at school.  School seemed extra long this year before the holidays as I was sick and my other AP was sick.  Sonya, my principal was also sick in December.  So hopefully we will all come back strong.  We have to be back January 3rd and 4th.   I will just be coming back from San Antonio as Brooke is set to give birth on December 27th.  We cannot wait for baby Caleb to get here.  Kirk and I got to keep Hudson this weekend and we had a fabulous time!  He loves his pops.  We went in the grocery store and Kirk went on another aisle and he screamed Pops until he returned.  You should have seen the smile on Kirk's face.  We also took him to Waco to see Kirk's mom and brother.  He did okay on the short trip to Waco, but prefers his Pops over every one. Abbey, Justin and baby Wyatt also went with us.  Mom really enjoyed seeing 2 of her 3 great grandsons.  Such a celebration!

Pops and The Hudson

Just love this little man!

Mom is always a character and never wants her picture taken.  This is her Texas blanket!

Such a sweet little family!

Grandparents are a family's greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, The greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions that linger on in cherished memory. Grandparents are the family's strong foundation. Their very special love sets them apart. Through happiness and sorrow, through their special love and caring, grandparents keep a family close at heart. ~author unknown

Such a Blessing to have Kirk's mom and my parents get to know my grandchildren.

Texas Bound

We made the trek to Oklahoma the first week in December to see Jeremy, Luci, and the babies.  Abbey, Justin, and Wyatt went as well.  We had some great family time.  A highlight was taking everyone to see the Guardian.  Carter, Wyatt, and Finley made it through.  Riley had to go with her daddy to the comic store.  I also brought some crafts for the kids.  Finley is getting to be such a great age.  Abbey always loved crafts when she was growing up and she is no different as an adult.  She had a good time as well.  We did stop in momses and pappa's house on the way up.  I got to see my sister and of course the highlight for momses and pappa was seeing baby Wyatt.  The big news though is this:  Jeremy and Luci are moving to Dallas.  They bought a new house by White Rock Lake.  Kirk and I could not be more excited.  All of our babies will now be in Texas and within driving distance.  We have had some great memories in  Oklahoma and will miss Luci's large extended family, but I am excited for them as they undertake their new adventure with their family.  Please pray all goes well for them through the move.  They should be in Dallas by early January.
Welcome home sweet babies!

The coolest Stroller I have ever seen.  Riley is in the stroller- Finley and Carter have  a skate board to stand on.  Kirk even liked pushing it through the mall.

I must say as to what I have seen of Texas, it is the garden spot of the world,
the best land and the best prospects for health I ever saw, and I do believe it is
a fortune to any man to come here

Thunder Up

The first week in December , Kirk and I got to use Jeremy's floor tickets for the Thunder game.  It was an awesome experience.  I never had any idea these professional basketball players are so huge.  It was such a treat and Kirk enjoyed it so much.  Here are some picture from the fun, fun, night.  Thanks again, Jeremy!
