Isn't He Wonderful?

Sometimes with all these grand babies, uncle Connor can take second fiddle.  He is my only child here at home so he gets my undivided attention most days of the week.  During those days, he never ceases to impress and amaze me.  This week he planned a  picnic dinner for his girlfriend, Paige.  It was her birthday and he was planing on surprising her with a homemade dinner.  It was so cold on her birthday that he had to move the picnic indoors.  He still managed to surprise her.  He also happily went with his mom to the Lion King .  We even managed to have a lovely lunch in the cafe at Bass Hall.  It was such a treat to spend the afternoon with him.  It will be a great and glorious day when he graduates and goes to college- but I am not ready yet for that and am treasuring every day with my wonderful son.

Indoor picnic.  That is sparkling juice in the bottle!

All made by Connor!

That is the curtain- we were on the 2nd row, amazing production!
“There is more to a boy than what his mother sees. There is more to a boy then what his father dreams. Inside every boy lies a heart that beats. And sometimes it screams, refusing to take defeat. And sometimes his father's dreams aren't big enough, and sometimes his mother's vision isn't long enough. And sometimes the boy has to dream his own dreams and break through the clouds with his own sunbeams.”

Grand babies x 6

All the kids and grand babies came in last weekend.  The boys went hunting to the Hausmann's farm.  The girls had girls night, shopping, and a photo session.  We were very, very  busy.  We all enjoyed our time together.  It was a little overwhelming having 6 children 4 and under in the house, but I would not trade it for the world.  Talk about a great and wonderful weekend- see for yourself.  I don't have any pictures of the boys- probably a good thing.
