The Art of the Selfie

Kirk and I attended a few sporting events during the fall. We went to a couple of Stars games and two Texas games.  I have tried to master the selfie to capture the events with a phone that you cannot see the picture with- you know you can't turn around the camera part.  So here they are in sequence.  Don't worry, we just got I phones so I know they will get better.  Kirk still only 1/2 smiles, but you know it captures the memories at least.

Wyatt Turns 2

We made the drive down to Austin for Wyatt's #2 birthday. Abbey and Justin gave him a Thomas the Train party with a jumping house.  He had a blast and we did too.  He is so full of love and joy and is a delight to his Bella and Pops.  Here is the birthday boy in all his glory:

Fall at the Ranch

We continue to have awesome family memories at the JLSmithFamily Ranch in May, Texas. The new babies have come for the weekends and we will spend part of the holidays there.  There are enough rooms for every family to have a bedroom and there is a wonderful bunk room for the kids. Connor even has his own room and he is very protective over it.  Here are a few pictures from the fall:

Labor Day at Lake Eufaula

I must have forgotten this trip.  Not the greatest blogger lately....

Okay way back in September, we went with Luci and Jeremy to Lake Eufaula to play in the sun. Luci's family has a compound at this lake in Oklahoma.   It was so much fun to visit with all her aunts, uncles, and extended family.  I especially love her grandmother.  She is a true woman of God.  I love her can do spirit.  She raised a beautiful family who loves and supports each other for generations. It was such a joy to spend time with the Liddells.  Thanks for your hospitality.  We skied, rode in the boat, jumped off cliffs, and enjoyed great fellowship around a solid Christian family!  Happy Labor Day!

Halloween 2014 Awards

Halloween 2014 was a  Spooktacular evening....

Yes I am a little behind on posts, but my job is a little consuming at this moment in my life..So please bear with me as I catch up.

Anyway- the costumes are too cute to pass up........

So first of all the down side- no candy for me.  I am really working on this metabolism of mine and any carb or sugar I put in my body stops it from working.  It has taken me a whole year to get it up and running, so I can't ruin the forward progress I am making.  So I will focus on the costumes....

Kirk and I made our way down I35 most weekends in September as we awaited the birth of our grand daughters and attended their births and supported the girls afterwards.  As Kirk says " we wouldn't have it any other way." He did all the driving!  The first part of October, Abbey, Justin, Wyatt, and Corrina spent 10 days with us.  We have gotten to spend some great time with our girls and their families. We feel so blessed to have these healthy babies in our lives and give God all the glory!

Last Days of Summer

We have been enjoying the final days of summer!  Connor is off at A & M. He is all settled in and has been to the last two football games,  He loves it there and Kirk and I are so happy.  We went to the ranch a few times in August.  It just gets prettier and prettier there:
