Give it to God

So what to do......everyone faces changes in life at one time or another.  My goals in life were to be a great mom, be a good wife, and make a difference in the world to children and families.  Well I am doing all this - but  do you ever feel like you are stuck on center and can't move?  Well that is what I have been feeling.  I have a great marriage, great kids, great grandchildren, loving, supportive extended family, and a great job that I love- So many, many blessings-so why this feeling?  Well after 30 years of marriage- Kirk sometimes knows me better than myself.  He had an aha moment for me the other night- I am never satisfied with sitting on center. I have tried to be happy with what I have - you know the speech, but my inner core and being pushes me on.  So I am going to stop fighting this feeling- what will be my next adventure- I don't know the answer yet- but I do know change is coming.  Stay tuned dear friends for I have given this to God.  He will truly show me the path.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

The Kids are Back in Town

Love it when my grand kids visit- oh and the kids too!  Finley and Carter are getting to the ages where they remember Kirk and me and it is so wonderful to be greeted by a huge hug and "Hi Bella and Pops."  They came in last weekend and we had a blast.  We took them to the Westwood game Friday night.  I cooked pancakes for Finley Saturday morning as that is her favorite- well next to donuts- and her momma and dad were not awake yet and she said " momma not here, but Bella is."  Made my heart melt right there.  We played on Saturday and Sunday and had an adventure down to South Congress to the food trucks.  Carter loved the "great food truck experience."  Not so sure his momma or Kirk were big fans.  Abbey, Justin, and I ate it up- literally! We also spent alot of the weekend cleaning out the house and garage.  Luci and Jeremy brought us some furniture down as they are in the middle of a remodel.  Luci is an awesome decorator and minimizer ( I call her that because that is what I need).  We did two rooms and they now look like my rooms not just leftovers from when the older kids lived here.  I am pretty happy about it and thank God for my sweet Luci to help me.  Jeremy drove the truck down and I appreciate him as well! Pretty nice way to spend a labor day weekend- just relaxing with family!  Thanks to Chis and Pete for taking the grand dog to the farm as three dogs in the house with two toddlers would have been a little much.
Pics from the weekend.  Some are Luci's- you can tell she is a better photographer than me!
