Carry the Load- Memorial Day 2014

Last weekend, Kirk and I participated n a great event called Carry the Load.  It is a movement to honor and remember our fallen that have served us.  We saw many people walking the course and  "carrying the load " for those that could not.  What I really like about this event is that they honor first responders as well. Jeremy has been involved in this event for a few years as a volunteer. This year he and his friend Kyle set up all the water stations.  He has his kids walk the course to help them remember why we have Memorial Day.  Great Daddy moment!

Here are some picture to honor those that served:

Each ribbon symbolises a lap on the course.

Flags line part of the course.

Kids walking part of the course.

Here they come for the finish

Thank you for serving!

My heroes are those who risk their lives every day to protect our world and make it a better place - police, firefighters and members of our armed forces.

Count Your Blessings, Bella
